Adrenaline State Training

When you are adrenalized, you don’t have access to fine motor movements or logic. We train you to manage your adrenaline and to use the basic, blunt moves that are natural for a body in this state.

The way you respond in a real confrontation is likely to mirror the way you train. This is why traditional martial arts are wonderful for discipline and fitness but not for real-life fights as in many cases, students are trained to pull their punches. IMPACT allows you to train just as you would need to respond in real life.

Because our male instructors wear a patented protective armor, you will have the opportunity to hit, kick, and deliver a blow using your full force, thereby training your muscle memory to do the moves with an all-out effort.

The realism of our training methods gives rise to a physiological and psychological condition known as the Adrenaline State. In a real emergency when we are facing fear or stress our bodies become adrenalized, and for most, our instinct is to freeze. In class, our male instructors recreate real life scenarios that put students into an adrenalized state while they fight. Even verbal defense strategies are practiced in the same pressure-simulating training.

Graduates often report back that after taking our classes they handle stressful situations with a clearer head. Whether it’s a dreaded conversation or a car accident, once we learn to function while adrenalized all aspects of our lives can seem much more manageable.
