Founded in 1985 by Lisa Gaeta, IMPACT Personal Safety has trained thousands of women in how to defend themselves and communicate effectively to live safe and happy lives. In 2008 the decision was made to go non-profit and in 2009 it became a reality. By converting into a non-profit, we are able to expand our reach to bring our empowering training to at-risk youth, DV survivors and under-privileged women unable to afford our classes on their own. Our non-profit status also allows us to grow in other areas such as partnering with other organizations equally dedicated to empowering women and children. It’s an exciting time for IMPACT and we are proud to be the IMPACT Personal Safety of the 21st century.
